Location: 2320 Louise Ave in Saskatoon. It’s at École Canadienne Francaise – Pavillon Gustave Dubois.
This event happens rain or shine! Please dress appropriately for the walk!
🌭 FREE hotdog BBQ starts at 11:00! It will wrap up at 12:15 so we can organize for the walk. If there are hotdogs left to cook, the BBQ will likely start up again after the speech part of the event.
PARKING: There is a very small parking lot at the school, as well as residential parking in the surrounding area. Market Mall is just a short walk away and has plenty of parking as well. Please be respectful to our neighbours and do not walk on lawns, or block driveways.
♻️ Silver for Gold will be onsite to take your tab donations! You can find them at the back corner of the gym. This year they will also have a fun station set up where kids can help paint some collection bins to be used for tab donations throughout the province.
The walk is approximately 2km long and is wheelchair accessible (as is our venue). Most of the intersections we cross have traffic lights – please obey them! There are two intersections near the condos on Preston that do not have traffic lights. As a common courtesy, we ask that participants stop to let traffic through when it is obvious that vehicles are trying to get in or out of these driveways. We will all meet at the vacant lot across from the Petro-Canada before heading back to the school, so we will all be back together then! The walk starts PROMPTLY at 12:30 from the school.
🖼Posters will be handed out randomly for participants to carry during the walk. There will be NO REQUESTS taken for specific posters. In the past, this has had us with some children’s posters “left out” when the walk begins. We hope that by handing out the posters at random, folks will learn new names and faces and develop a stronger appreciation for why we do what we do. Posters will be handed out at the door on the way out,and must be returned at the door on the way back in. Posters are property of Small But Mighty SK.
The DONATION and TICKETS SALES tables will be up and running at 11:00 am when the BBQ starts. Please note that ticketed activities will not start until after the speeches (approx 2:30pm) but get your tickets early so that you can avoid a lineup! Bake sale table will open from 12:00-12:20 for any treats you want before the walk!
🗣 The brief formal program happens right after the walk. Please gather in the gymnasium. This is an important time to connect with, celebrate, and honour our SK pediatric oncology community. Bring tissues.

✔️Silent Auction payments can be made by cash, cheque, or etransfer. The silent auction will close at 3:45. ❗️All bid sheets will be gathered by a volunteer after the auction closes and brought to a central location. From there, please find your winning bid sheet and bring it to the payment table. Once you have paid, bring your sheet to the volunteers at the item area to pick up your item(s). ❗️ You do not need to be present to claim your item. We will contact you to arrange payment and pick up. Should there be any leftover items, an online auction will be held on this page in the week following the Gold Walk.
