Diefenbaker Canada Centre – Free interpretive tours
The Diefenbaker Canada Centre is offering free interpretive gallery tours every Saturday and Sunday at 1:00 pm in March of our current travelling exhibit “Hockey” and “Hockey: A Common Goal”. Please e-mail dief.centre@usask.ca or call 306-966-8483 to reserve your spot.
Sunday March 4: CHEP Good Food Inc & Slow Food Saskatoon
Three of Slow Food Saskatoon’s local chefs compete head to head using locally grown and sourced ingredients from CHEP’s Good Food Box Program. Those who attend will sample the dishes and in the end decide the winner.
Thursday March 8: Eritrean Women’s League
Eritrean Women’s league is inviting you to celebrate International Women’s Day at Saba’s African Cuisine. Tickets are $25.00 /includes supper and traditional coffee (can be picked up from restaurant). There will be guest speakers during the event.
Friday March 9: Saskatchewan German Council Inc.
The event is hosted by the Saskatchewan German Council in Partnership with the Saskatchewan Library Association for their
Program “One Book, One Province” and is part of an international cooking series open to the public. The class is “Apfelkuchen Now and Then”, where participants will learn all about Apfelkuchen (apple cakes) along with a recipe from Amy Jo Ehman’s “Out of Old Saskatchewan Kitchens”. There will be another reading as well, once the cakes are finished baking. The cost per person is $20.00, preregistration and payment is required. Please contact the SGC office for the registration form and to make
arrangements for payment.

The 20th Annual Seedy Saturday eco-fair and seed exchange. There will be gardening and seed vendors, speaker’s series presentations, face painting, puppet shows, networking, etc. etc. If you like to garden, come on down and check it out!
