Gold Walk Saskatoon

Join us on Sunday, September 10, 2017 from 1pm-4pm for the 3rd Annual Gold Walk in Saskatoon!! It will be a time to honor and remember those kids in our local community, and throughout Canada, who have been diagnosed with cancer. We will walk a short walk through downtown Saskatoon, spreading awareness and fundraising for Childhood Cancer Canada!!

Cancer is the leading cause of disease related death for Canadian children, yet it receives only 3% of funding from the Canadian government. Change starts with awareness.

Start collecting your gold gear!! We will walk along 19th St, over the Broadway bridge and back to the Amphitheatre. We will wear our Gold clothing and hold Gold signs, spreading awareness of Childhood Cancer!! We will be raising money for Childhood Cancer Research through Childhood Cancer Canada. All proceeds from our event go directly to Childhood Cancer Research in Canada.

Laugh for a Cure

Please join us on Friday May 5th for a fun filled night at our 2017 Laugh for a Cure event. This year will be the 7th annual event which includes two hours of live comedy with comedians Mike Dambra and Lars Callieou we also have silent auction, cash bar and like last year we will have out balloon pop raffle. Last year our first place winner won two tickets for flight anywhere WestJet goes. So come out and see what we have to offer this year.

Tickets are $50 per person – you can contact Diane at sponsorship@laughforacure.ca or call or text Diane at 306-715-7277

The event itself is designed around the premise of using laughter to raise money for cancer research and to improve the quality of life of those affected. To date we have raise over $98,000 over our 6 year span. The proceeds have gone back into the community through the Lisa Rendall scholarship fund. Last year we were proud to continue our support of the scholarship fund through the C95 Radio Marathon for Breast Cancer Research, we were fortunate to be able to donate also to the Cancer Lodge and the Breast Health Centre at the Saskatoon City Hospital.
