Kaylyn Kyle Soccer Academy

As you may have heard Kaylyn Kyle is bringing her soccer academy back to Saskatchewan this October.

Following the success and great feedback from last years sessions in Saskatoon and Regina, this years academy has expanded by four cities as we endeavour to make it bigger and better than last year, with jerseys for each player by Under Armour, gift bags for each participant, and prize draws at the end of camp put together by our amazing sponsors.

As part of registration, each players name will go into a draw to win an autographed Orlando Pride jersey signed by the entire Orlando Pride Team. The draw for this jersey will take place at the end of October following the end of camps and the jersey will be given to one lucky winner who attended The Academy

The Saskatoon Camp has been moved from Thanksgiving weekend, and is now an evening event on Thursday October 13th. This has worked out great, as it is now $99 and allows those youth players that could not make it over the long weekend an opportunity to attend. The schedule is as follows:

5:30-6pm Registration for all age groups
6-7:30pm Training for all age groups
7:30pm onwards- Meet and Greet, Autographs and Speaking Engagement in the Pleasureway Lounge at the Sasktel Sports Center

All players will train within their age group during the training session. The camp is open to both male and female players from 8-16 years of age, of all levels and abilities.

As the weekend has been moved from a weekend event, and in order to ensure that Kaylyn can spend time with each player, spaces for the evening are limited.

All registration details, schedules, and any additional information can be found at http://kaylynkylesoccer.com. If players wish to register, the process can be completed online under “The Academy” tab.

YAS coaches are continuously innovating and adjusting the YAS summer basketball camps skills-development program in order to maintain YAS’s standing as a sports-school leader. Each year, top teacher-coaches from universities, colleges and secondary schools are surveyed in order to determine the skills that they regard as current top priority and in need of emphasis among young developing players.

That input from college professionals and teacher-coaches is then incorporated into YAS summer basketball camps.

12,904 players from 273 communities have graduated from YAS’s award-winning summer basketball camps since YAS was founded in 1975. Each YAS graduate returned home armed with the skills and confidence needed to excel in basketball and other sports, and most importantly to take leadership roles at school and to make positive contributions to their overall communities.

Wide Open Puppet Camp

Wide Open Puppet Camp is a unique camp that is sure to thrill any imaginative, crafty or theatrical child!

February 16, 2016 – February 20, 2016
9:00 am – 4:00 pm

The Refinery Arts & Spirit Centre
609 Dufferin Ave, Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada, S7N 1C4

Lucky participants are introduced to the magic of puppets and puppet theatre. In addition to constructing their very own puppet character, your child will have the chance to explore different styles of puppetry, working with existing puppets and creating new characters.

We will be creating stories using whatever characters the kids want to create (Minecraft, princesses, ponies, avengers… anything!). The emphasis will be on having fun, involving everyone and making stories that are well rounded. We will explore shadow puppets, rod puppets and hand puppets and film some scenes to make YouTube videos (videos will feature puppets, not children) for sharing with family and friends.

A day at Puppet Camp is a day well spent. Campers spend lots of time up and moving as they engage in theatre games and explorations. Then, to slow things down a bit, they concentrate on designing and building their very own puppets. The 5-day, weeklong camp ends with a performance for family and friends in The Auditorium. Participants will be proud to take home their own creations on the last day of camp.
Ages: 5-6yrs, 7-9yrs and/or 10-12yrs
Hours: 9-4pm
Students are required to bring a packed lunch, all puppet supplies are included in the fee.

Includes tickets to The Adventures of The Gingerbread Man on February 15th!
